Chapters & learning objectives
1. What is Cervicogenic Headache?
This chapter will provide an overview of headache classification, skeletal anatomy and biomechanical principles of the upper cervical spine.
2. Screening for Referral
This chapter will teach the participant to interpret salient findings from the history and physical exam to differentiate various types of headache presentation and to generate an appropriate referral when necessary.
3. Physical Examination and Interpretation
This chapter will instruct the physical therapist in conducting a systematic examination for the patient with headache.
4. Intervention
This chapter will review the current state of the evidence related to cervicogenic headache and educate the participant on appropriate management strategies guided by information obtained from the history and physical examination.
