Chapters & learning objectives
1. Anatomy
This chapter will provide a brief overview of skeletal anatomy and biomechanical principles of the cervicalthoracic spine.
2. Screening for Referral
This chapter will teach the participant to interpret salient findings from the history and physical exam to differentiate various types of neck pain presentations and to generate an appropriate referral when necessary.
3. Physical Examination and Interpretation
This chapter will instruct the physical therapist in conducting a systematic examination for the patient with headache.
4. Intervention
This chapter will review the current state of the evidence related to cervicothoracic disorders and intervention, and educate the participant on appropriate management strategies guided by information obtained from the history and physical examination.
